My husband and I would recommend NJ Bernedoodles and Jeffrey again and again! From day one he was delightful to work with – they were our first call in a line up of breeder calls and we ended up cancelling all our other calls and putting down a deposit with him immediately. We were really drawn to their ethical, family-centered raising of the puppies alongside their daughters, as we really wanted a puppy with a calm temperament and that would be good with kids. We also had to ensure our dog would be good with my husband’s walker. Jeffrey assured us they would be and he was right – our girl Penny somehow instinctually knew how to walk beside my husband and his walker from day one! She’s absolutely perfect and our dream dog and this experience was amazing. We are older, very experienced dog people and we spent many days carefully searching through bernadoodle breeders all along the east coast and as far as the mid west. At the end of all our research, we concluded that Jeff of NJ Bernadoodles was the one. He is an extremely knowledgable and thoughtful breeder, not someone indiscriminately breeding dogs. His dogs live at home, are part of the family and are very lovingly cared for during gestation, birth and while caring for their young. He always has the best interest of the dogs as his top priority. Jeff does a professional and thorough job when it comes to the health and vet care of his dogs and puppies. He goes above and beyond to ensure you receive a healthy, well socialized puppy that is ready to bond with its people. I contacted Jeff over a year before we were ready to purchase a puppy, just to get information and to understand him and his approach to breeding. I was pleasantly surprised to hear from Jeff a year later, just to let me know that he was planning a litter that we might be interested in. As it turned out, we were ready at that point to put down a deposit. Jeff is extremely organized and committed to keeping all his customers and prospective customers in the loop. He is an excellent communicator. Lastly, but very importantly, Jeff raises only bernadoodles. Beware of breeders that list several kinds of doodles, very often these are puppy mills. Bernadoodles are Jeff’s passion and he is a compassionate and knowledgable dog breeder. You can trust him.

He happily answered all our questions, reviewed his methodology to breeding (including temperament, health, and look), and asked us questions about our family to ensure the right fit. We wanted a boy puppy since we already had a girl dog and Jeffrey was very understanding. The selection process was great and we had time to meet the dogs and know the best one for our family. And to speak to how Jeffrey goes above and beyond – after we got home, our other dog loved the balls that he sent us home with for the puppy. I asked him where he got them and rather than simply sending a link – he sent me a package of them! It was so thoughtful and both dogs loved the present. We cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with Jeffrey and NJ Bernedoodles. We had been in communication with Jeffrey for nearly a year, and from our very first interaction he was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and patient. When we initially reached out, he took the time to call us and thoroughly explain everything, answering all of our questions and making us feel completely comfortable with the process. We originally placed a deposit on a puppy, but our new home build ended up taking much longer than expected. When we explained the situation to Jeffrey, he was beyond understanding and genuinely wanted what was best for us and the puppy. He kindly worked with us to move our deposit to a later litter, which meant so much to us and showed how much he truly cares about his families. Throughout the entire process, Jeffrey was in constant communication. He kept us updated when Zola was pregnant, when the puppies were born, and regularly sent photos and videos. He was always immediately responsive and happy to answer any questions we had along the way. When we finally picked up our puppy, Jeffrey was just as warm and welcoming in person. Jeffrey took the time to explain everything about how he breeds his dogs and how he takes care of the puppies until we brought her home. My daughter is allergic to dogs and these dogs are hypoallergenic. Jeffrey let us come to meet the puppies from a previous litter that were about to go home so we can check her allergies with them. He also helped to reach to a prior customer who lived near me so we could meet their dog as well before committing. If you are looking for a bernedoodle that is well socialized among a million other things, NJ Bernedoodles is simply the best, from initial contact to pick up. I was referred to Jeffrey by a friend and we couldn’t be happier. Our initial contact was a wealth of information and Jeffrey was so well educated. He went above and beyond to explain everything and even answered all my stupid questions at random times of the day. From the moment we decided to add to our fur family, Jeffery was always in contact updating us, sending pictures, sending videos etc. When it came time to pick out our puppy, Jeffrey was extremely patient with me and although I was literally undecided for just about two hours, both Jeffrey and I knew I was going with “light blue” because she picked me from the moment I met all the puppies. To make things a little more exciting I came up with the brilliant idea to send my teenagers on a Christmas scavenger hunt, ending at Jeffrey’s house two hours away from our home. Jeffrey was all in and completely played into the fact that he “worked” with my husband, even recorded my teens reaction from his view. To say Jeffrey goes above and beyond is an understatement. We have absolutely loved our experience working with NJ Bernedoodles! We now have two dogs from them (from different litters) and both experiences have been phenomenal! Jeff was so knowledgable and walked us through the process and kept us updated every step of the way! Do not trust this guy Jeffrey – I gave him a $500 refundable deposit and a few months later we decided not to get a dog at this time. He will not return by deposit, my calls or emails. He’s an absolute scam artist. I will report him to the Breeders Association, Better Business Bureau and last but not least file a complaint in Mercer County Small Claims Court. People like this can never be trusted…and he’s a school teacher besides. If he can’t be trusted he shouldn’t be teaching our children. Oh, reported him to Zelle too. Buyer beware.
